2007 World AIDS Campaign

One of the 2007 World AIDS Campaign posters

One of the three World AIDS Campaign posters designed by messaggio studios and printed in several hundred thousand copies by naturaprint on 100% recycled paper.

We could not be prouder. For the past four years, mondofragilis network, messaggio studios and naturaprint have been supplying the World AIDS Campaign with designs, web programming, hosting, printing, television public service announcements and many additional services. It has been, and continues to be a privilege. 2007 is no exception. Once again, we are proud to have conceived the campaign materials and produced them.

We like all our clients, but we say without reserve that our World AIDS Campaign working relationship has been outstanding. It has been one of partnership and trust. And though many sleepless nights remain unaccounted for, every minute has been worth it. We would like to take a special moment to thank the WAC team for its trust in us starting with its Executive Director Marcel Van Soest and Edwin Nichols. We're still not sure if Edwin has a title, but if he does, he shouldn't because he does so many things. We would also like to thank Tamara and Molly for their ongoing support.

As we write this article, World AIDS Day is less than 2 months away and the 2007 - 2008 campaign materials are now available. Indeed, the printed materials are done so on 100% recycled stock.

Building on last year’s theme of accountability, the theme for World AIDS Campaign from 2007 and 2008 is “leadership”. Around the world, people are already planning World AIDS Day leadership activities, either holding local leadership forums celebrating great leadership in different communities, or planning events which call for greater leadership.

From the ten years that the World AIDS Campaign has been operational, these posters and all the ancillary materials are, we hope, the most politicised and action-orientated. World AIDS Day is no longer just about raising awareness on issues such as stigma or vulnerability. Instead, the day marks a global opportunity to call for all promises on AIDS to be kept. We hope these 2007 World AIDS Campaign posters reflect this.

World AIDS Campaign is governed by global networks of grass roots campaigning groups. In every country, the campaigning amongst these groups takes a different form. Recognising the value of this locally led campaigning, there are also various tools available within the World AIDS Campaign for developing localized, low cost versions of the World AIDS Campaign materials.
