Our President, Cemil Giray Alyanak, has just returned from the 10th anniversary Leaders' Summit of the United Nations Global Compact. In his words: "Meetings like this are game changers." The meeting was both a celebration of ten years of Global Compact dynamism and a call for renewed energy for the next ten years. 

25 April saw World Malaria Day recognised across the globe. Following this day of action RBM are also held a board meeting in May. To support this, mondofragilis group was enlisted by RBM to produce several special products.

Today, mondofragilis group president Giray, moderated the opening session of the World Urban Forum's Business Caucus. The topic was: Greening Cities : Bridging the Urban Divide. The Business Caucus is the main platform tailored to the private sector to present best practices and innovation for sustainable cities.

An exciting challenge has been announced! An open, global competition to design an attractive, recognizable and memorable logo for the World Urban Campaign, symbolizing its initiatives and representatives. The three finalists will be flown to Rio de Janeiro for the World Urban Forum in March, and all three will receive a cash prize between $2000 and $5000. Closing date for entries is March 1st, 2010.

The redesign includes several new functionalities making it more ergonomic and transforming it into a ‘live’ website. As well as having a new “look” the World YWCA website now includes advanced functions linking related articles by keywords, secure links to make online donations, in addition to a googlemaps feature showing locations of YWCAs worldwide.
